Yengi Imam caravanserai: a journey into history in Del Alborz

Yengi Imam Caravanserai, which is also known as Shah Abbasi Caravanserai, is located in Yengi Imam village near Hashtgerd. This caravanserai, which is approximately 400 years old, is known as one of the popular historical and tourist attractions in Alborz province.

History of the caravanserai:

Safavid period: Yengi Imam Caravanserai was built by Shah Abbas Safavid during the Safavid period.

Architecture: The architecture of the caravanserai is a combination of Iranian and Islamic architecture.

Usage: In the past, the caravanserai was used as a resting place for caravans on the Silk Road.
