Tomb of Jamasab Hakim: a gate to history and mythThe tomb of Jamasab Hakim, a brick building with a simple yet magnificent architecture, is located in Karadeh village of Jahrom city in Fars province. This building is located on top of a hill overlooking the village and it seems to be a long-standing guardian of the history and culture of this region.Tomb architecture:The brick tower of the tomb, with an octagonal plan and brick decorations, is reminiscent of the buildings of the Sassanid era. The brick fence surrounding the tower, with a square plan and gates on each side, has created a safe and enclosed space for the tomb.History and identity of Jamasab Hakim:The exact date of construction of the tomb is not known, but according to the architectural style, it most likely belongs to the Sassanid period or the early Islamic period. The identity and personality of Jamaseb Hakim is also in an aura of ambiguity. Some consider him to be one of the friends and relatives of Zoroaster, the prophet, and others introduce him as a sage and scientist.Traditions and legends:There are many traditions and legends about Jamasab Hakim. One of these narrations is the story of him taking refuge in the mountains during the attack of Alexander the Great on Iran. It is said that he was hidden in the mountains with a group of Zoroastrians until the death of Alexander, and then he returned to the Karade plain and died there.Religious and cultural importance:The tomb of Jamasab Hakim, as one of the respected places of Zoroastrians, has high religious and cultural importance.
