The tomb of Esther and Mordechai

The tomb of Esther and Mordechai, a religious and historical building, is located in the center of Hamadan, at the beginning of Dr. Shariati Street. This building, which is known as the Jewish shrine, is the burial place of Esther and Mordecai, two important characters in the story of the book of Esther in the Jewish land.History:The exact date of construction of this building is not known, but according to Jewish traditions, it dates back to the 5th century AH. However, some historians believe that this building was built during the Safavid or Qajar period.Architecture:The tomb of Esther and Mordecai consists of two separate parts:First part: The main building of the tomb, which includes two brick domes on two separate graves.The second part: the synagogue located next to the tomb.Internal space:The interior of the tomb is decorated with tiling, painting, and plastering. Exquisite Torahs and religious objects are kept inside the synagogue.Importance:The tomb of Esther and Mordecai is one of the most important Jewish shrines in the world. Every year, many Jews from all over the world travel to this holy place.
