This palace has two official and private parts. The official part of the palace includes the ceremonial hall, the ruler's throne room, administrative units and storerooms. The private part of the palace also includes the residence of the ruler, the sanctuary and the green space.The Sassanid palace is made of stone and plaster mortar. The walls of the palace are very thick, reaching up to 3 meters in some cases. The palace has a large central courtyard surrounded by rooms and halls.The Sassanid palace has been renovated many times throughout history. The last fundamental restoration of the palace was done in 1385.The Sassanid Palace is one of the popular tourist attractions in Gilangreb city. This palace attracts many tourists every year due to its unique architecture and convenient location.
