The Naroui Khan Mohammad Hosein Fort


The Naroui Khan Mohammad Hosein Fort is a historical site in the Sistan and Baluchestan province of Iran, located in the Qaleh Now village of Zabol county. It is about 160 years old and has witnessed many historical events during its lifetime. The beautiful and charming architecture of this fort attracts the attention of every viewer.

The Naroui Khan Mohammad Hosein Fort is built in a square shape with an approximate area of 1,500 square meters. The walls of this fort are made of mudbrick and their height reaches about 10 meters. A moat 3 meters deep and 6 meters wide has been dug around the fort. There is a tower at the entrance of the fort, which is about 12 meters high.

Inside the fort, there are several rooms that were once the living and ruling quarters of General Mohammad Hosein Khan. Artifacts from the daily life of people in the Qajar period have been found in these rooms.

The Naroui Khan Mohammad Hosein Fort was registered as one of the National Monuments of Iran in 1999. It is one of the tourist attractions of Sistan and Baluchestan province and is visited by many tourists every year.
