The fortress of Nasir Khan Bakhtiari Sardar Jang: a souvenir of Iranian historyNasir Khan Bakhtiari Castle, known as Sardar Jang Castle, is located in the village of Sardar Castle, Lordgan County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. This castle is a relic of the Qajar era and a symbol of the power and glory of the Bakhtiari family.History of the castle:Nasir Khan Bakhtiari Castle was built in 1284 AH by the order of Nasir Khan Bakhtiari, the general of the Bakhtiari clan. This castle has witnessed important events throughout history. Among these events, we can mention the battle of Il Bakhtiari with government forces during the Qajar era.Castle architecture:Nasir Khan Bakhtiari Castle is a unique and spectacular building in terms of architecture. This castle is built on two floors using materials such as stone, brick and clay. Various decorations and motifs such as brickwork, tiling and plastering have been used in the construction of the castle.Different parts of the castle:Nasir Khan Bakhtiari Castle has different parts such as interior, exterior, tower and rampart, stable, bathroom, etc. The interior was the residence of Nasir Khan's family. Biruni was the meeting place with guests and elders of Bakhtiari family. The tower and ramparts are used for observation and defense of the castle.Current status of the castle:Nasir Khan Bakhtiari Castle is currently in private ownership. This castle was registered as one of the national works of Iran in 1380 AH. Unfortunately, this castle is currently being destroyed due to lack of restoration.Importance of the castle:Nasir Khan Bakhtiari Castle is of great historical and cultural importance. This castle is a relic of the Qajar era and a symbol of the power and glory of the Bakhtiari family. Also, this castle is a unique and spectacular building in terms of architecture.
