The Bank of Iran and England

The Bank of Iran and England was a British bank that operated in Iran from 1889 to 1979. The bank was founded in Tehran by a group of British investors, and it quickly became the leading foreign bank in Iran. The bank offered a wide range of services to its customers, including commercial banking, investment banking, and insurance.

The Bank of Iran and England was nationalized by the Iranian government in 1979, and it was renamed the Bank Saderat Iran. The bank continues to operate today, and it is one of the largest banks in Iran.
