This building, which is located in Tabriz's Shahrdari Square (Saat), attracts many tourists from all over Iran and the world every year due to its magnificent and unique architecture.A turbulent history:The construction of the Tabriz Municipal Palace began in 1314, during the presidency of Haj Arfa-ul-Molk Jalili, under the supervision of German engineers, in the abandoned cemetery of Nobar neighborhood (Maqsoudieh). This building was completed in 1318 and stood out as a symbol of modern Tabriz in the heart of the old city of Tabriz.Throughout history, Tabriz Municipal Palace has witnessed important events. Among these events, we can mention the struggles of constitutionalists, demonstrations against the Pahlavi regime, and celebrations of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.Admirable architecture:The Municipal Palace of Tabriz is built on three floors with an area of 6500 square meters. The exterior of the building is carved from stone and carved with great delicacy and precision. Islamic, geometric, and human motifs have been used in these plasters.Clock tower:The clock tower of Tabriz Municipal Palace is one of the symbols of Tabriz city. This tower, which is located at the highest point of the building, has a large clock with four faces that can be seen on all four sides of the building.The clock of Tabriz Municipality Tower was purchased and installed from Germany in 1318.
