Shaheswar Cemetery

Introduction:Shaheswar cemetery, located in the central part of Izeh city in Khuzestan province, has been registered as one of the national monuments of Iran on 27th of Bahman 1378 with registration number 2596. This cemetery is located on a hillside overlooking the Izeh plain and occupies an area of about 5 hectares.Age:This cemetery dates back to different historical periods, including the Parthian, Sassanid, and Islamic periods. This cemetery provides valuable information about the history and culture of Bakhtiari people. Also, the stone lions of this cemetery are artistically valuable and show the skill of ancient Iranian sculptors.
