Sablan peak lake: the turquoise gem of the roof of IranSablan Peak Lake, which is known as Soyug Bolaq (Cold Spring) in the local dialect, is a ruby gem in the frame of Sablan Peak, the highest mountain in northwest Iran, and the turquoise gem of the roof of Iran. This lake is located at an altitude of 4811 meters above the sea level, in the mouth of the extinct Sablan volcano, and with the reflection of the sky in its clear waters, it has created a unique and eye-catching view.unique features:Altitude: As the highest lake in Iran, Sablan peak lake also carries the title of the roof of Iran.Water: The water of this lake is supplied from the natural glaciers of Sablan peak, and due to the absence of algae and suspended particles, it has the clearest water in the world.Biodiversity: Despite the harsh weather conditions, we see significant biodiversity in this region. Among them, we can mention salmon, migratory birds and plants resistant to altitude.Antiquities: On the edge of this lake, the remains of an ancient fire temple from the Sasanian period can be seen, which shows the historical antiquity of this area.Access routes:Northeast route: This route, which starts from Shabil spa in the south of Lahrud, is the most common route to climb Sablan peak and visit the lake.Western route: This route starts from Sarein village and is easier to climb due to the shelter along the way.Southern route: This route starts from the village of Sharbian and is rarely used due to its impassability.
