Qazvin city museum

Qazvin city museum, which is located in the historical mansion of Qazvin, is one of the must-see museums of this city. This museum was opened in 1373 and various objects from different historical eras are displayed in it.Different parts of the museum:Archaeological Section: In this section, various objects from prehistoric times to the Qajar period are exhibited. Among these objects, we can mention pottery, stone and metal tools, and ornaments.Anthropology Section: In this section, customs and culture of Qazvin people are displayed. Among these objects, we can mention clothing, household items, and agricultural tools.Calligraphy section: In this section, the works of prominent Qazvini calligraphers are displayed. Among these works, we can mention exquisite Qurans, paintings, and pieces of calligraphy.Some of the prominent objects of the museum:Engraved pottery from Zaghe Hill: These pottery belong to the third millennium BC and are considered one of the most important ancient objects of Qazvin City Museum.Clay figurines from the Achaemenid period: These figurines were discovered in the excavations of the Qazvin cemetery hill and represent the art and craft of pottery in the Achaemenid period.Sword and shield related to the Safavid period: these weapons were used in the wars of the Safavid period and show the power and strength of this dynasty.Exquisite Qur'an in Kufic script: This Qur'an dates back to the third century of Hijri and is considered one of the most exquisite Qur'ans in the museums of Iran.
