Qaboos Dome Tower

Qaboos Dome Tower, Negin, Golestan ProvinceQaboos Dome Tower, also known as Mill Gonbad, Qaboos Tower and Qaboos Dome, is a 72 meter high brick building located in the city of Qaboos Dome in Golestan province. This tower was the tallest brick building in the world until the 19th century and is known as one of the masterpieces of Iranian architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.History:Qaboos Dome Tower was built in 375 AH by the order of Shamsul-Maali Qaboos bin Washmegir, the king of Al-Ziyar. The construction of this tower took about 27 years and was completed in 402 AH.Architecture:Qaboos Dome consists of two main parts:Body: The body of the tower is cylindrical with a diameter of 17 meters and a height of 57 meters. The body of the tower is made of baked bricks and decorated with glazed bricks.Dome: The dome of the tower is conical and made of baked bricks. The height of the dome is 15 meters and there is a metal garland on top of it.
