Peshte Siah geosite, a black land in the heart of the desertPushte Siah geosite, which is also known as the Black Land and Peshte Siah volcanic craters, is one of the strangest and most amazing natural attractions in Iran. This area is located 20 kilometers southeast of Pikoh village and in the northernmost part of Naybandan Wildlife Sanctuary.Black ridge is covered by a wide range of black volcanic rocks called basalt. These rocks have reached the surface of the earth as a result of volcanic activity about 2.5 million years ago. The basalts are in the form of relatively high hills compared to the surroundings, and in some areas, they are seen as basalt flows.The presence of black basalt stones has turned this area into a black land in the heart of the desert. The view of this area is very special and unique and it fascinates every viewer.In addition to basalt stones, there are also volcanic craters in the Black Ridge geosite. These craters are in different sizes and some of them reach up to 850 meters in diameter.The black stack geosite has a very high scientific value. This area can provide valuable information about the past volcanic activity of the region.Today, the Peshte Siah geosite is welcomed by many domestic and foreign tourists as a tourist attraction. Visitors can visit different parts of this area and learn about the wonders of nature.
