Maranjab CaravanseraiMaranjab caravanserai: a gem in the heart of the desertIntroduction:Maranjab Caravanserai, known as Maranjab Castle, is a historical building near Maranjab village in Isfahan province. This caravanserai is located in the heart of the central desert of Iran and on the edge of the Aran and Bidgol salt lakes, and as one of Iran's unique tourist attractions, it welcomes domestic and foreign tourists.History:Maranjab Caravanserai was built during the Safavid era by the order of Shah Abbas Safavid in 1012 AH. This caravanserai was located on the Silk Road and caravans used to stop there to rest and refresh.Architecture:Maranjab Caravanserai is built using local materials of the region, clay and brick, and has a square plan. This building includes a central courtyard and four porches on the four sides of the courtyard. Cells for the rest of caravans are built around the central courtyard.Current user:Maranjab Caravanserai, after restoration, is currently used as a tourist accommodation. By staying in this caravanserai, tourists can have a different experience of life in the desert and enjoy its unique beauty.
