This mosque has become one of the tourist attractions of Kermanshah due to its impressive architecture and tile decorations.History:The building of Jame Shafi'i Mosque was built in 1324 in the place of a pilgrimage center by a group of benefactors from the Sunni people of Kermanshah. This mosque has been renovated over the years and is currently known as one of the most important Sunni religious centers in Kermanshah province.Architecture:In terms of architecture, Jame Shafii Mosque is an example of a masterpiece of Iranian Islamic architecture. This mosque has two tall minarets, a large dome and lofty porches decorated with exquisite tiles. The altar of the mosque is also made of marble and decorated with tiles and moqrans.Different parts of the mosque:Jame Shafi'i Mosque includes different sections, including male and female shabestans, library, ablutions, and sanitary services. The women's shabestan is located on the lower floor of the mosque, and the men's shabestan is on the ground floor. The library of the mosque is also located on the upper floor of the women's dormitory.Tourist Attractions:In addition to the impressive architecture, Shafii Grand Mosque has other tourist attractions. Among these attractions, we can mention the wooden pulpit of the mosque, which dates back to the Qajar era. Also, in the area of the mosque, there are a number of historical tombstones related to the Safavid and Qajar periods.
