The last major restoration of this mosque was done in the Safavid period.Jame Mosque of Qom has a large central courtyard and four porches on four sides of the courtyard. The south porch of the mosque is the biggest and highest porch of the mosque. In front of the south porch is the minaret of the mosque, which is known as the forty-pillared minaret.Qom Grand Mosque has beautiful architectural decorations. Tiling, mirroring and plastering are among the decorations of this mosque. There is also a museum in Qom Grand Mosque where historical and Quranic objects are kept.
