Jame Fahraj Mosque

Jame Fahraj Mosque, a treasure of history and architectureFahraj Jame Mosque, in Fahraj village of Yazd, is like a window to the history of Islam and Iran. The age of this mosque, which reaches the beginning of Islam, has made it one of the oldest mosques in the Islamic world.Simplicity and simplicity are the most obvious features of this mosque's architecture. While many mosques are decorated with magnificent domes and eye-catching tiling, Fahraj Grand Mosque is built with clay and mud and does not have a dome or tiling. The nave of the mosque has created a simple and spiritual atmosphere with brick columns and cradle arches. The mihrab of the mosque is also brick and simple, and no additional decorations can be seen in it.The minaret of the mosque, which is located next to the Shabestan, is made of clay and mud and its height is about 20 meters. The simplicity and harmony of the minaret with other parts of the mosque has doubled its beauty. The plan of the mosque is also very simple and it is very similar to Al-Nabi Mosque in Madinah. This simplicity in the map shows the age of the mosque and the influence of early Islamic architecture on it.Fahraj Grand Mosque is the only mosque in the Islamic world that hasn't changed much since its construction. This mosque is a treasure of history and architecture, the value of preserving it for future generations is very important.
