Gilan Rural Heritage Museum: A journey to the heart of history and cultureGilan Rural Heritage Museum is like a window to the past that takes you on a journey in the heart of the rich history and culture of this province. In this open-air museum, which is located on a land of 263 hectares, more than 80 traditional buildings from different regions of Gilan are gathered. Walking among these buildings is a passage in time and introduces you to the way of life, customs and culture of the people of Gilan in the past.Village House:Wooden houses with gabled, thatched and brick roofs are examples of the native architecture of Gilan in this museum. Each of these houses, with its own elegance and beauty, tells the story of the lives of people who lived in harmony with nature. From noble houses to simple rural houses, the diversity of these buildings is indicative of cultural and social diversity in Gilan.Mosques and religious places:Mosques and religious places are an integral part of the culture of the people of Gilan. In the Gilan Rural Heritage Museum, you can see examples of traditional mosques with their own architecture. The domes and minarets of these mosques are a reminder of the faith and spirituality of the people of this land.Bathrooms:Traditional baths, which in the past were places for people to bathe and spend their free time, are also exhibited in this museum.
