Forty Pillar Palace of IsfahanChehl Seton Palace (also known as Chehlsetun Palace), located in Isfahan city, is one of the most famous and beautiful palaces of the Safavid era. This palace was completed in the third year of the reign of Shah Abbas II (1057 AH) and is an example of the most magnificent ceremonial palaces of that period.Architecture and specifications:Architectural style: The architectural style of Chehl Seton Palace is Isfahani and its decorations include tiling, wall paintings, plastering and mirroring.Location: The Forty Pillar Palace is located in the middle of a garden with an area of 67,000 square meters.Building: The building of the palace has two floors and there is a large hall on each floor. The halls of the Forty Column Palace are very large and magnificent and are decorated with wooden columns.Decorations: The palace decorations are very exquisite and artistic. The mosaic and seven-color tiling with Slimi, Khatai and geometric motifs, wall paintings with different themes, delicate plasterwork and eye-catching mirror work have doubled the beauty of the palace.Pool: In front of the palace, there is a large and long pool, in which the reflection of the palace is very beautiful.Name:The name "Forty Columns" refers to the twenty wooden columns of the main hall of the palace, which look like forty columns in the reflection of the pool.Application:During the Safavid era, the Forty Pillar Palace was used as a ceremonial palace and a place to receive domestic and foreign guests. This palace has also been the venue for various celebrations and ceremonies.Today:Today, the Forty Pillars Palace is used as a museum and a collection of historical objects such as dishes, clothes, weapons and manuscripts are displayed in it.
