Darvish Abdul Majid Mehrani Taleqani (known as Majid) (1150 AH Taleqan - 1185 AH Isfahan) is a famous Iranian calligrapher, poet and mystic. He is considered one of the greatest Nastaliq calligraphers in the history of Iranian calligraphy.

Birth and childhood: Darvish Abdul Majid was born in 1150 AH in the village of Mehran Taleghan. As a child, he went to Qazvin and after learning the basic principles of calligraphy, he migrated to Isfahan.

Teachers: Darvish Abdul Majid learned calligraphy from prominent teachers such as Mirzahasan Kermani and Shafia.

Style and style: Darvish Abdul Majeed had a lot of expertise and skill in Nastaliq cursive script, and through his innovations and creativity, he brought this script to the peak of perfection.

Works: Darvish Abdul Majid left valuable works, including:

Marqaat: Darvish Abdul Majid's collection of pieces and marqaat is considered to be one of the most exquisite works of calligraphy in Iran.

Books: He has written many books in Nashq and Nastaliq calligraphy.

Poems: Darvish Abdul Majid also had a poet's nature and a collection of poems has been left behind.

Death: Darvish Abdul Majid died in Isfahan in 1185 AH and was buried in Takhey Mir in Takht Foulad, Isfahan.
