Darband Cave

Darband Cave: a gem in the heart of AlborzDarband cave is located two kilometers north of Shahmirzad city in Semnan province. This 120 million year old cave is one of the largest limestone caves in Iran.The mouth of Darband cave is located at an altitude of 2250 meters above sea level, and to reach it, you have to walk for about 20 minutes.Inside the cave, there are numerous halls and corridors decorated with lanterns and beautiful limestone columns.Due to its high biodiversity, Darband Cave is recognized as one of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserves. In this cave, different species of animals such as bats, rats, and snakes live.Visiting Darband Cave can be a unique experience for you.
