Biston Ancient Collection: A Journey in Iranian HistoryBistun ancient complex, the shining gem of Iran's history, is located on the slopes of Bistun mountain in the northeast of Kermanshah. With an area of over 1650 hectares, this complex contains a treasure of valuable historical and natural artifacts dating back to the Middle Paleolithic era.A treasure of history:Darius Achaemenid's inscription and relief: this unique masterpiece describes the events related to Darius's accession to the throne and the suppression of rebellions in the form of 512 lines and 27 reliefs. Biston inscription is written in three ancient Persian, Elamite and Babylonian languages and is known as the first document of human history.The reliefs of Mehrdad II Parthani and Guders II Parthani: these reliefs show images of Parthian kings and events related to that period.Numerous stone inscriptions: Biston stone inscriptions narrate the history of this land from different periods, including the Sasanians, Safavids and Qajar.Farhadtrash: This huge rock, which was carved by the order of Khosrow II Sassanid, is a reminder of the love and failure of Farhad Kohkan.Sarab Bistun: This spring, which is located on the slopes of Bistun mountain, has been inhabited by humans for a long time and has played an important role in the prosperity of this region.
