Baan Mesiti Caves

Baan Mesiti Caves and Temple is a group of three caves located in the Tis village, Chabahar County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran. The caves are located at the foot of Mount Shahbazvand, about 5 kilometers northwest of Tis village.The caves are believed to have been built in the Achaemenid Empire (550-330 BC). The caves are made of mudbrick and stone. The first cave is the largest and is believed to have been used as a temple. The second cave is smaller and is believed to have been used as a dwelling.
