Azadi Tower

The oval arches of the tower are reminiscent of the Kasri arch in the Sassanid era. The tower's turquoise tiles are also inspired by the architecture of the Safavid era. The grooves on the top of the tower are also adapted from Yazd wind deflectors.History of Azadi Tower:Azadi Tower was built in 1349 AH, on the occasion of the 2500-year celebrations of the Iranian Empire. This tower was originally called "Shahyad Tower", but after the Islamic Revolution, it was renamed to "Freedom Tower".Location of Azadi Tower:Azadi Tower is located in Azadi Square, Tehran. This square, which is one of the biggest squares in Tehran, is located at the intersection of several important streets.The importance of Azadi Tower:As one of the important symbols of Iran, the Freedom Tower has been featured in many movies, series and photos. This tower is also registered in the list of national works of Iran.
