More than 200 animal species have been identified in this forest. Among these animals, we can mention leopard, brown bear, wolf, wild boar, and deer.World heritage:Due to its high plant and animal diversity, Arsbaran forest was registered as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 1350. This global registration shows the importance and value of this forest at the international level.Tourist Attractions:Arsbaran forest, in addition to plant and animal diversity, also has many tourist attractions. Among these attractions, the following can be mentioned:Arsbaran Protected Area: This area, with an area of about 7000 square kilometers, is one of the largest protected areas in Iran. In this area, various animal species such as leopard, brown bear, wolf, wild boar, and deer live.Ghoshadagh Peak: This peak with a height of 3,300 meters is the highest peak of East Azarbaijan Province. Climbing this peak is an exciting experience for climbers.Arsbaran waterfalls: There are many waterfalls in Arsbaran forest, among them Iskander waterfall, Agsu waterfall, and Gurgur waterfall. These waterfalls have doubled the beauty of Arsbaran forest.Arsbaran villages: In Arsbaran forest, there are many villages, among which we can mention Kalibar village, Haris village, and Noja Mehr village. These villages, with traditional architecture and warm people, welcome tourists.Recreational activities:In Arsbaran forest, you can do many recreational activities such as hiking, climbing, camping, and photography. Also, in this forest, accommodation and reception facilities are provided for tourists.Access path:To access Arsbaran forest, you can travel to this area through Tabriz-Ahar and Tabriz-Kaliber roads.
