Tajabad caravanserai: a gem in the heart of Iranian historyTaj Abad Caravanserai, a magnificent and unique building from the Safavid and early Qajar eras, is located 25 kilometers northwest of Hamedan and in Rasul Abad village. Due to its special and circular architecture, this caravanserai has a special place among other Iranian caravansaries and it was registered as one of the national works of Iran in 1376 with the number 1872.unique features:Circular architecture: Unlike most caravanserais in Iran, which have a rectangular plan, Taj Abad has a circular plan with a total diameter of 56 meters and a yard diameter of 31 meters. This feature has made Tajabad one of the two round caravanserais in Iran.Brick decorations: The exterior and interior of the caravanserai are decorated with red bricks and the use of geometric and slime motifs.Central courtyard: The circular courtyard of the caravanserai has provided a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere for caravans to rest.Cells: There are many cells on two floors around the courtyard, which were the residences of caravans and merchants in the past.Rabat section: A separate space was considered for keeping cattle, which shows the pilgrimage and commercial use of this caravanserai.History:The exact date of construction of Tajabad Caravanserai is not known, but according to its architectural style, it is attributed to the late Safavid period and early Qajar period.
