Curtain weaving has a long history in Iran and has been popular since the distant past as a hand-woven and machine-made art. Raw materials and production methods
The raw materials used in woven curtains include different types of fabrics such as silk, satin, velvet, linen, polyester, etc. Choosing the type of fabric depends on factors such as decoration style, amount of incoming light, budget and space usage.
In the production of curtains, traditional and machine methods are used. In the traditional method, all production steps from spinning to weaving and sewing are done manually, and the produced products have a high artistic value. In the machine method, advanced devices are used for the mass production of curtains, which reduces the production cost and increases the production speed.
